Description

John Chatham is a well known Healey racer, restorer and Austin Healey's enthusiast. He raced one of the most famous Healey's "DD300" on all known racetracks against drivers like Sterling Moss and Timo Mäkinen for 40 years. Derived from the DD300, he prepared a number of bighealeys, the 3000 S.

This example is number 3 in the row and has recently been rebuilt. Originally a BT7 "tricarb" whose chassis has been reinforced, the suspension has been modified and the technics has been uprated in Chatham style. Engine features a 300 degree camshaft, fully balanced cylinderblock, modified cylinder head, aluminum wings with airvents and a 6 branch exhaust manifold, hardtop, Dunlop wheels and many more items.

While this is a seriously fast Healey, it's also great for a sunny Sunday afternoon drive. The Chatham Healey's are rarely for sale and are a very solid investment. A truly unique Healey, built by one of the most illustrious characters in the history of this marque.
