This is a very nice Austin Healey 3000 Mk2 that was delivered new in 1963 in the Netherlands. At the time, it was a convertible that was praised for its almost saloon-like driving characteristics. The car was not only very comfortable but also still very sporty. The Austin Healey 3000 was a benchmark for all other sports cars of the time. You still reap the benefits of that today, because the Austin Healey 3000 Mk2 is still an extremely pleasant driving car. In this case, it is a very fine example. The car has been fully restored and overhauled in the past.

Both the body and chassis are in very good condition. The sheet metal is nice and tight and the fits are correct. The chassis is of course completely free of rust. At the time, the paint was completely repainted in the original colour with 2-component paint. The paint looks beautiful and is practically completely free of signs of wear. The convertible top is easy to operate and fits nicely everywhere. The convertible top is made of black vinyl. The chrome and polished stainless steel parts also look beautiful and are in good condition. The car is fitted with beautiful 72-spoke rims that are chrome-plated and fitted with good Vredestein tires in the correct sizes. Furthermore, the car is equipped with a Lucas high-beam headlamp and a Lucas wide-beam headlamp.

The inside of the car was completely reupholstered during the restoration and still looks beautiful. The inside is equipped with black carpets and black skai upholstery. The dashboard looks beautiful and all instruments and controls function as they should. To stay in place, the inside is equipped with a 4-point belt from Sabelt. Furthermore, the beautiful three-spoke Mota Lita steering wheel and the beautiful aluminium shift knob.

The technique has been completely overhauled and is in very good condition. The engine has been completely overhauled as well as the SU carburettors. The engine compartment also looks beautiful. The engine is equipped with a BDT ignition and an electric cooling fan. The engine not only runs beautifully but also sounds fantastic thanks to the stainless steel side pipes. The transmission has also been completely overhauled and fitted with overdrive so that travelling long distances is no problem at all. The steering is completely free of play, the dampers work perfectly and the brakes are more than fine for their task.

In short, a beautiful Austin Healey 3000 Mk2 in a beautiful colour scheme and in perfect technical condition. A car to go on multi-day tours or to occasionally send a round on your favourite roads. Turn-key Austin Healey 3000 Mk2 driving pleasure.
