13,000 mile example with original paint and upholstery. A collector's grade example of Porsche's final flagship air-cooled model. Thoroughly documented and beautifully presented.1996 Porsche Turbo VIN: WP0AC2995TS375187Polar Silver with Classic Grey Leather -Original 13,000 mile example with original paint and interior-Flagship air-cooled Turbo with documentation and exceptional presentation-One of 1,357 Turbo Coupes produced for US/Canada marketsThe Porsche 993 Turbo is today considered a hallmark of performance excellence, signifying the best in air-cooled Turbo development evolved through decades of refinement. The specifications are not only robust, they bear more than a passing similarity to the legendary 959. The incredible 959 stunned the motoring world in 1986 offering remarkable performance features such as a 6-speed manual gearbox, all-wheel drive, twin turbochargers, and 400+hp, all of which resulted in 4 second 0-60 times. A decade later the 993 offered all this and more in a package that could be driven with confidence and reliability. It would also prove to be the final iteration of the original air-cooled 911; both in driving characteristics and body design. Porsche enthusiasts today favor the 993 for the familiar dashboard and signature 911 greenhouse, matched with thirty years of engineering advancement and design iterations. The 993, though genetically similar to the original 911, has been prodigiously updated with a myriad of modern equipment while retaining legendary Porsche engineering and iconic design features.Introduced in 1995, the Turbo Coupe offered the all new 3.6 liter twin-turbocharged engine, air-to-air intercoolers, electronic engine management, new cylinder heads, and a 959-derived all-wheel drive. The rear fenders were widened, and the front and rear fascia were redesigned. A fixed rear spoiler, housing intercooler, draped over the engine lid. The Turbo models also used larger brakes than the standard Carrera model and a 10-speaker stereo system was installed for premium sounds, as though anything could compete with the incomparable roar of the Porsche engine. According to the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity accompanying this car, this Porsche was completed May 5, 1995. The car was finished in Polar Silver Metallic/A8 and trimmed with Classic Grey Leather/TF. In addition to the cost-extra items noted on the Porsche CoA, the windows sticker accompanying the car indicates the wheels were fitted with Porsche crest center caps. The following optional equipment was ordered new with the car:-Digital Sound Package-6 Disc Remote CD Changer-Self-Dimming Mirrors and Rain Sensor-Metal Door Sill Model Insignia-Head Restraint w/Porsche Crest-Porsche Floor Mats Classic Grey-Seat Deviating Stitch Color-Leather Tray without Cassette Storage-Bridgestone TiresAccording to the current Carfax on the car, and named on the window sticker accompanying the car, the first owner took delivery of this Porsche Turbo at Park Place Motorcars Ltd., Dallas, TX in July 1995 where it was regularly serviced and inspected through 2011 when it was sold to the next owner with approximately 10,200 miles. The Porsche service booklet shows entries and stamps with Park Place from Jun 1995-Sept 2010. Service records accompanying the car include May 2005, with 9,065 miles indicated, Park Place Porsche, Dallas, TX replaced the drive belts, resealed the transmission tail shaft housing, performed a brake fluid flush, oil change, and engine wiring harness recall repair. Services continued with Park Place including regular oil changes, tires and alignment, state inspections, battery replacement (2010) new clutch disc, pressure plate, release bearing, and slave pressure accumulator at 9,500 miles (2010). When offered for sale in 2011, Willhoit Enterprises performed an inspection at 10,421 miles (document included with the car) indicating it was “Pristine original paint. One-owner car that passed a 100p-oint inspection.” The car was then sold to the second- owner, a resident of California. An invoice for pre-purchase inspection performed at Rusnak, Thousand Oaks, CA in May 2014 indicates 10,461 miles, in support of the purchase by the third and current consigning owner. In July 2019 a new battery was installed. A set of Continental 285/30ZR-18 and 225/40ZR-18 tires were purchased in February 2022. The car was also recently treated to a major fluids and filter service by Eason Auto Works, Oakland, CA. Today, with 12,690 miles indicated, this Porsche 993 Turbo presents beautifully. Essentially all finishes should be considered investment/preservation grade including the factory original Polar Silver paint displaying excellent depth and high gloss throughout the exterior surface. The paint has been metered on all metal body surfaces, returning single digit numbers consistent with factory original paint. The body panels show excellent door, trunk, and hood gaps, excellent fit along the front and rear bumpers, and nicely maintained exterior trim. The front bumper and hood are in excellent condition with no excessive scrape marks of note on the front air dam. The lenses are vivid and glossy, while the original factory glass retains the factory Sigla and Sekurit brand etches with no notable marks or chips, consistent with the low miles indicated on the odometer. The silver wheels with optional Porsche crest center caps are in excellent condition, accented by red brake calipers perched over the larger Turbo brakes nestled beneath the 18” factory rims. A set of Continental tires were installed in February 2022 less than 100 miles ago. The gorgeous original Classic Grey leather interior has been very well maintained and thoughtfully preserved, showing only minor evidence of use on the driver’s seat entry bolster and an excellent matching leather covered shift knob. The pleated front and rear leather seats remain remarkably supple and smooth to the touch with correct perforated factory inserts, smooth bolsters, and beautifully embossed Porsche headrest crests. The door panels, including door pulls and door pocket lids are all in very nice condition. The dashboard, gorgeous instruments, and center console are in excellent condition with switches and features operating as expected. Of note, the 6-speed manual gearbox sits prominently within the center console, indicative of the original air-cooled manual gearbox combination that made the 911 so successful for so many years. The headliner, sun visors, and control surfaces are all uniformly clean and nicely detailed. The overall fit and finish of the interior is cohesive and tidy, indicating the exceptional care this Porsche has received since delivered new. The engine compartment and front storage area are both unmodified and remain in excellent condition. The original engine is correct and properly maintained with clean components and factory engine stickers still evident along the rear cowling of the engine compartment. Correct materials and finishes are seen throughout the front storage area including the collapsible red-rim spare tire, correct and original front storage liner, Porsche 6-disc CD changer, factory options sticker mounted under the front lid, factory treated metal parts, and correct hardware. The chassis displays visual condition consistent with the documented low miles, showing clean components and authentic finishes reflecting mild use and indoor storage. The floor pan, rocker panels, and structure show no visual evidence of structural compromise, consistent with zero reported accidents in the Carfax report and factory metered original paint. The car starts instantly with delightful, air-cooled sounds from the Turbocharged engine. The clutch and gearbox work very well, owing in part to clutch and flywheel replacement 2,000 miles ago. The motor provides a wonderful and distinctive turbocharged roar, releasing all the power and potential from the 400hp engine. Even by modern standards the Turbo delivers a remarkably crisp yet vintage 911 feel to the driving experience. This Porsche Turbo comes with a car cover, a spare new back up light switch, two new rear deck struts, Polar Silver touch up paint, a set of factory books and leather case, owner’s manual, factory air compressor in original case, tool roll with a correct and complete set of tools, and a factory jack. This Porsche is a stunning time-warp, investment grade example representative of one of the most desirable Porsches and the last of the air-cooled giants of the 911 lineage. The remarkably preserved cosmetics, unmistakable performance, and rarity of this Turbo make it the ideal sports car for enthusiasts who enjoy driving their cars, showing them with pride, and sharing in the unmistakable 911 heritage magic that continues to define Porsche today.
