Williams Lyons, founder of Jaguar, presented his last Grand Tourisme on September 10, 1975. This coupe was supposed to succeed the very mythical Type E. The car, named XJ-S, is very successful in terms of style. Both low and slender, modern and elegant, it brought something new and personal to the range of luxury sportsmen. From her predecessor, she inherited the very noble V12 machine. Lamborghini and Ferrari were the only other brands in the world to offer equivalent engines. His long career was a total success. From 1975 to 1996 the Jaguar XJ-S continuously evolved over time. The 5.3-litre V12 engine is improved in two directions. It is more powerful while consuming less.
The model we are presenting is in an almost perfect state of presentation and has benefited in recent years from nearly 13,000 euros in invoices between 2017 and 2021 as well as regular maintenance.
Among other things, we note:
-Change in differential
-Change of wheel bearings
-Change of disks
-Replacement of flint blocks
A Jaguar is above all an interior decorated with high level equipment. With its cream interior and rare materials like leather and wood, our model does not deviate from the rule. Instead of the two rear seats, two small chests are locked.
And then a Jaguar is also an engine. A V12 is a rarity these days. 5.3 I of displacement, a supply by injection and 295 hp with an extra 44 kg for the torque, on this side, our jaguar does not disappoint.
Finally a Jaguar, it’s a line, and that of the XJS is breathtaking.
Out of time, out of the norm, the XJ-SC V12 convertible is the type of car of the wealthy hedonist. And so, there’s nothing wrong with doing good."
This is how the XJ-SC was described by the press at the time. Today, the sensations are the same but the price is sweeter!
