Description
"* REDUCED ESTIMATE *
Introduced in 1971, the 2000 GTV was the final version of the classic 105 Series Alfa Romeo, which are so pretty and highly sought after. There were no major styling changes made by Bertone, merely a new grille, the body remaining the same as the preceding 1600 and 1750 models. Representing the final enlargement of Alfa's legendary twin-cam four, the 1962cc engine produced 132bhp, which was mated to a five-speed gearbox and limited-slip differential improving road handling. Torquier than its 1750 predecessor, the 2000 GTV was good for a top speed of 120mph.
This particular example was built in 1975 but not sold until 1977 via Maasland Alfa Romeo in the Netherlands. It is presented in Periwinkle Blue with a bespoke/custom made red leather interior, tinted windows and it also comes with Campagnolo Turbina alloy wheels. After the car had been in storage it was recommissioned by the 105 Workshop in the Netherlands, who are a well known Dutch Alfa Romeo specialist. This car is lefthand drive and has a fully electric sunroof, it is supplied with history file containing many old invoices for work carried out. These are rare sports cars from the Italian marque and in this condition, it will grace any show but most of all be great fun on the road."
