Is this the finest of all 60 Ferrari 612 Sessantas?

Is this the finest of all 60 Ferrari 612 Sessantas?

For its 60th birthday back in 2007, Ferrari built 60 especially luxurious bicolour Sessanta versions of the 612 Scaglietti for its most trusted and loyal customers. And we think this blue and cream example, due to be sold by RM Sotheby’s later this month, is possibly the finest of them all…

Creamy, chocolatey goodness

Judging by the polarised response when we posted this 2008 Ferrari 612 Sessanta on our Instagram recently, the unusual dark blue and cream over brown leather is a specification that is not as universally agreeable as we had thought it might be. But who really wants to own just another red Ferrari? We think it looks the business, and the details on the Sessanta are exquisite. Upgrades on this limited-to-60 luxury V12 included bigger forged alloy wheels, an electrochromic glass sunroof, a sumptuous quilted leather interior and special badging throughout. Our favourite feature is the diamond pattern in centre of the white tachometer and speedometer matching the seats. This Sessanta is being offered by RM Sotheby’s at its Online Only: Open Roads, The European Summer Auction, which opens on 14 July and closes on 21. The pre-sale estimate has not yet been revealed but judging by the model’s rarity and this car’s unique specification, we’d hazard a guess that it won’t be a bargain. And rightly so!
