Poised to replace the Vanquish, the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera will arrive in the second quarter of 2018 as part of the marque’s current product offensive. It’s expected to be more of a performance-oriented car than the outgoing Vanquish, with a considerable power hike over the 600bhp DB11 V12, more aggressive aerodynamic elements, and the extensive use of carbon fibre to keep the weight down. We assume the latter is where Touring Superleggera will come in. While the legendary Milanese coachbuilder refused to comment on the partnership, Aston Martin’s reference to the historic association of the two brands — which, ultimately, led to the DB4, DB5, and DB6 Mk1 models — suggests it will be more than just a badge on the bonnet.
