Seven years ago we received a request for a Jaguar XK150 coupé including a body-off restoration to concours condition. A specific request was that it should have an automatic gearbox. After a relatively short search, we found a very suitable candidate. A 1960 3.8 liter with original Borg Warner automatic gearbox and a body in perfect condition. We started with the complete disassembly of the body and chassis, after which we stripped both components. The chassis was sandblasted and then powder coated in primer and satin gloss black. The body has been provided with a cold galvanizing (ktl) treatment by Autobeitserij Groningen. It was striking that, except for some rust under the toplights, there was no trace of rust on the body! The body was then lead loaded and primed, with extensive attention to the panel gaps, and painted in beautiful dark blue.

Now, 7 years later, the entire body is still in exactly the same condition as it was then. The chassis is build, using only new parts and all components are galvanized or powder coated. The engine was completely overhauled, as was the gearbox. After assembling the body and chassis, we assembled the entire car with the best possible attention to detail. Here too, only new or completely overhauled parts have been used. The interior was entrusted to the best upholsterer in the Netherlands, who subsequently turned it into a true masterpiece. Numerous options / upgrades have been fitted throughout the entire process such as EZ power steering, Coopercraft brakes, bucket seats with lumbar support, burr-walnut dashboard, Moto-lita steering wheel, aluminum radiator, alternator etc. etc. A complete file with photos and invoices is available for the entire restoration and of all activities.

We are proud that we can now offer this Jaguar to the next caretaker. For those looking for an XK150 coupé in top concours condition, we will take all the time for a viewing and an extensive test drive.
