Description

MAPPIN & WEBB AGATE GOLD & ENAMEL CLOCK
Mappin & Webb, the movement Swiss, case No. 297. Made circa 1910.
Fine, 8-day going, agate, silver, gold and enamel desk clock.
Circular with square corners, each corner with pierced gold
scroll and leaf mounts, gold bezel overlaid with white enamel
and blue dots between stylized leaves on polished gold reserves,
silver-gilt clock housing with hinged strut.
Matte silver with painted radial Roman numerals, outer
minute track, engine-turned center. Rose-cut diamond-set arrow
hands.
43 mm., nickel plated, fausses cotes decoration, 15 jewels,
straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance, self-compensating
Breguet balance spring, index regulator.
