Jaeger-LeCoultre, "Géographique Automatique," No. 0240, Ref. 169.6.92. Made in the 1990s.
Very fine, "World Time," center-seconds, self-winding, platinum
wristwatch with 24 hour dial, date, 45 hour power. Accompanied by a
fitted box and certificate.
Two-body, solid, polished, case back with 4 screws, stepped bezel
and lugs, sapphire crystal. Engraved on caseback "RENE I WOULD
SOONER GROW OLD ALL ALONE THAN TO EVER HAVE ANOTHER
LOVER I LOVE YOU JANET".
Two-tone silver with applied white gold bâton indexes, subsidiary
dials for the adjustable second time zone and the date, 24-hour
indication, power reserve indicator sector at 10, revolving disc with
the names of 23 major cities in the world on the outer rim at 12. The
crown at 3 is to set the time for the 2 different time zones, the one at
10 is to select another city. Blued steel luminous "épée" hands.
Cal. 929, rhodium plated, "fausses côtes" decoration, 36jewels,
straight-line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to 4
positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating flat balance-spring.
