CARTIER ART DECO PENDULETTE
A REPETITION A MINUTES
Cartier, "Pendulette à repètition à minutes," case No.
2421/6307, No. 264765, the movement by the European
Watch & Clock Co. Inc. Made circa 1925.
Fine and very rare, Art-Deco, minute-repeating, leather-covered,
ebony and yellow gold 8-day going desk clock.
Rectangular brass entirely covered by red leather, silver
inner bezel, the back sliding open, yellow gold push piece
on the side and triangular bow on the top, stepped rectangular
ebony base set at the front with two agate cabochons
in yellow gold mounts.
Matte silver with luminous Arabic numerals, outer minute
track, sunray engine-turned center. Luminous yellow
gold Art-Deco skeleton hands.
Brass, rectangular backplate secured by 3 screws, circular
with going barrel, 15 jewels, straight line lever escapement,
cut bimetallic compensation balance with 2 adjustments,
micrometer regulator, repeating on gongs activated
by the push piece at the side.
