Der 400 GT 2+2 ist der Nachfolger von Ferruccio Lamborghinis erstem Sportwagen, dem 350 GT.

Wie der Name schon verrät, stiegt der Hubraum der V12 Maschine von 3.5l auf 4 l an.

Der Platz auf der Rückbank wurde für eine 2+2 Konfiguration erhöht und die Dachline dahingehend leicht angepasst, was der Eleganz des Wagens aber keinerlei Abbruch tut.

Zudem erhielt der 400 GT ein neues, von Lamborghini selbst entwickeltes, vollsynchronisiertes, 5-Gang Getriebe und Doppelscheinwerfer von Hella.

Wie schon beim 350 GT etabliert, hatte auch der 400 GT Einzelradaufhängung und Scheibenbremsen.

Unser Fahrzeug wurde 1967 gebaut.
Über die frühe Historie ist uns leider nur sehr wenig bekannt.

Von 1982 – 1998 gehörte er zum Fuhrpark der Residenz eines bekannten arabischen Emirs am Genfer See.

1998 erwarb ein deutscher Sammler den Lamborghini der ihn bis heute neben weiteren hochwertigen italienischen Sportwagen in seiner Sammlung hielt.
Der Wagen wurde die letzten Jahre nicht mehr gefahren und benötigt eine technische Überholung.

Der Gesamtzustand, besonders das sehr schön original erhaltene Interior, zeugen von guter Lagerung und Pflege. Eine erstklassige Basis für eine überschaubare Teilrestaurierung.

Many years of previous ownership in Switzerland

The 400 GT 2+2 is the successor of Ferruccio Lamborghinis first sports car, the 350 GT.

As the name suggests, the displacement of the V12 engine increased from 3.5l to 4l.

The rear seat space was increased for a 2+2 configuration and the roof line was slightly adjusted to accommodate this, but this did not detract from the elegance of the car.

In addition, the 400 GT received a new, fully synchronised, 5-speed gearbox developed by Lamborghini itself and twin headlights from Hella.

As already established with the 350 GT, the 400 GT also had independent rear suspension and disc brakes.

Our vehicle was built in 1967.

About the early history we unfortunately dont know much.

From 1982 - 1998 it was part of the fleet of the residence of a well-known Arab Emir at Lake Geneva.

In 1998, a German collector acquired the Lamborghini and kept it in his collection until today, along with other high-quality Italian sports cars.

The car has not been driven for the last years and needs a technical overhaul.

The overall condition, especially the beautifully original interior, is evidence of good storage and care. A first-class basis for a manageable partial restoration.
