Description

Originally developed jointly by Petronas and Sauber Petronas Engineering as a prototype to compete in MotoGP, Petronas subsequently joined forces with Carl Fogarty to enter the FP1 in the Superbike World Championship for 2003 as ‘Foggy Petronas Racing’. Immediately, the howling, flame-spitting ‘prototype’ ruffled feathers in the paddock, and podiums followed, before Petronas pulled the plug.
This FP1 is regarded as the only running World Superbike example on the planet, and came direct from Carl Fogarty’s house.
