Description

Constructed by the famed hot rod builder Roy Brizio, this 1934 Ford Three-Window Coupe is a showcase of traditional hot rod building techniques. The coupe’s aggressive stance was achieved through a modified 1934 frame, which includes a four-wheel Kugel independent suspension and quick-change rear end. Underneath the chopped and partially channeled all-steel body, the custom frame allows for a continuous line culminating in the flared rear fenders.

The dark blue color of the body and chassis reflects light off the car’s original styling contours and simultaneously provides a high contrast to the pinstriping and Oxblood leather interior by Sid Chavers. Oxblood accents in the oversized wire wheels and Ford Racing 392 cid engine echo the immaculate interior. Situated beneath the removable, stock, hinged hood, the engine is revealed like a jewel crowned by a combination of four Weber carburetors, aluminum heads capped by chrome valve covers, and stainless-steel headers. Connected to a new Ford Tremec five-speed manual transmission, the engine supplies 430 hp to the rear wheels.

At the front of the coupe, the stock fenders have been replaced by custom cycle fenders that have been crafted to wrap closely around the wheels and isolate the pinched frame. Between the fenders and shortened chrome grille, a pair of frame-mounted headlights float above the exposed tubular independent suspension and disc brakes, which can be found at all four wheels. At the rear of the car, the gas tank has been relocated to expose the polished rear suspension and the fenders have been bobbed.

Even while standing still, every element of this high-caliber Brizio ’34 Coupe, from its intricately devised accents to its overall nose-down posture, contributes to a heightened sense of speed and movement. Built with no expense spared by one of the most revered and respected hot rod shops in the country, this ’34 Coupe is beautifully finished with taste, style, quality, and performance.
