Description
Guide price: £62000 - £70000.
•UK-Supplied in Grand Prix White and Burgandy Pinstripe, showing just under 38,000 miles
•A Carrera Sport model - front and rear spoilers, Fuchs Alloys and an electric sunroof
•Supplied with UK V5c, a fresh MOT, and its original book pack
• Very sensibly guided for such a lovely Carrera Sport

The 3.2 Carrera is revered as the ultimate development of the original 911 that first appeared in 1963. These final cars (before being replaced by the more complicated 964) were the most flexible and usable of Butzi Porsche's original design. Launched in 1984, and reviving the ‘Carrera' name for the first time since 1977, these were the ultimate 1980's sports cars.
The all-alloy, flat-6 engine, which had been fuel injected since 1971, received a final stretch to 3,164cc, giving a torque-rich 231 bhp - enough to propel the lithe and slippery coupé to over 150 mph, with 0-60 mph coming up in 5.6 seconds. The 5-speed 915 gearbox was carried over from the previous model 911 SC, whilst cars built from September 1986 onwards were fitted with the more user-friendly G50 'Getrag' 5-speed gearbox, but all 3.2 Carreras feature galvanised bodies, which together with Porsche's legendary build quality, ensure that these classics are long-lasting.

Offered here is a UK-supplied (C16), right-hand drive Porsche 911 3.2 Carrera Coupé delivered by Lancaster to its first owner, a Mr R.K.Gee of Norfolk, on 6th March 1984. The car is finished in Grand Prix White (P5P5) with a light grey and burgundy pinstripe interior and matching carpets. Being a ‘Sport' model, it sits on Fuchs alloy wheels, has front and rear spoilers, and an electric sunroof. In 2015, the car was fully serviced and a host of other remedial jobs were attended to by marque experts, Specialist Cars of Malton to return it to its best, and it has only been lightly used since.

Other car-related activities for our vendor mean that this good-looking ‘matching numbers' 911 3.2 Carrera Sport is now surplus to requirements. Supplied with a UK V5c, some old MOTs, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, and its original book pack and tools, this example is now showing just 37,951 miles and will arrive at the auction with a fresh MOT. This sparkling white Carrera is an excellent example of a, now increasingly sought-after, 1980's 911.
