A retro roll-call
Revealed at the former RAF base’s Sunday Scramble last weekend, the Malle London x Bicester Heritage tool roll came about when the former visited the latter, where Malle’s designers were shown an original RAF tool roll from the 1940s. Its resulting contemporary is handcrafted in Malle’s London workshop, boasting 20 tailored pockets for each of the staple automotive tools, plus a slip pocket for accessories. All materials used are sourced in Britain, from the water-resistant navy blue oiled canvas and Scottish bridle leather, right down to the Liverpudlian brass clasps. For the self-sufficient gentleman driver looking for more in a driving companion than a suspect set of directions, you might want to buckle up...
