MV Agusta ‘Disco Volante’ in Bonhams' 2 February Paris Sale

MV Agusta ‘Disco Volante’ in Bonhams' 2 February Paris Sale

In 1950s Italy, it wasn’t only Alfa Romeo that produced a model blessed with the sobriquet ‘Disco Volante’. Motorcycle manufacturer MV’s 175CS Sport was also so-named, this time after the voluptuous profile of its fuel tank when viewed from above.

Bonhams will offer a 1953 MV Agusta 175cc 'Disco Volante' complete with surprisingly car-like sidecar (its original, and in almost ‘Gulf Porsche’ paintwork…) at its forthcoming, 2 February sale. The combination is just one of 34 motorcycles in the catalogue.

Estimate: 10,000 - 13,000 euros. Full preview of the auction to follow.
