The P1800 is a sports car built by the Swedish Volvo between 1961 and 1972. A Swedish reliability, an Italian line and many British components, here is the pedigree of a very desirable car! The first public presentation was made at the Brussels Motor Show on January 16, 1960, but production did not start until May 1961. Frua, a branch of the Ghia body shop in Turin, was responsible for the P1800's design. The initial engine was a 1.8-liter 90HP powered by a twin SU HS6 carburetor. It was equipped with a manual gearbox until 1963, then benefited from an optional Laycock-de-Normanville electric overdrive version from 1963. A Volvo P1800S, owned by an American, holds the world record for highest mileage in the Guinness Book of Records. In more than 40 years, this car has covered more than 5,000,000 km. This shows how reliable the vehicle is.
The presented model, dated 1965, is in a magnificent condition. The paint is white and very nice. The interior, dark grey, is as clean as the exterior. This car drives well and can be driven whenever you want. It is only waiting for its future owner to try to beat a new world record."
