The Cerbera, more than any other TVR before it, cemented the Blackpool company's place in the big league of performance car manufacturers. Here was a proper 2+2 sports coupé with crushing power, sleek good looks and an affordable price tag. With its wild interior and long doors, no handles to break up the curvaceous lines, advance orders were taken from day one and hit the covers of every motoring magazine in the country with its incredible performance figures. It's a magnificently hard-edged sound combined with simply explosive performance.
Owned by the vendor for the last 25 years, this sinister example occupied part of a large TVR and Lamborghini collection, all of which were painted in the owners bespoke colour scheme. Serviced and maintained by TVR Power of Coventry over the years and more recently, TopCats Racing of Westcott in Buckinghamshire, it benefits from the TVR headlight upgrade with new double HID lights, front and rear, a lower front lip spoiler and Gaz Gold shock absorbers. Under the bonnet, a performance ECU has been installed and remapped for fast road/race use but, importantly, never used in anger or been near a circuit. A full stainless-steel exhaust system can also be found complete with ‘over-fuel’ mapping. Dedicated to purists, Hertz audio speakers are in the door pods and the vendor has also opted for the slightly larger 18” matt-black ‘Spider’ wheel design thus filling the wheel-arches well. This fine-looking Cerbera will arrive with a new service and a full 12-month MoT test certificate. Feeling brave?
Interested parties should note that there is an insurance marker against this car due to flood damage. This took place in a warehouse holding a collection and the effect was minimal with the car simply sitting in several inches of water and with no cabin or engine ingress. It was subsequently serviced by Top Cats TVR and given a clean bill of health."
