Description
"Based on the Triumph T15 Terrier 150cc, the 200cc T20 Tiger Cub, designed by Edward Turner and launched in 1953, competed well against the other small capacity motorcycles of the time such as those using Villiers two stroke engines. The earlier version of the Cub used the Terrier's plunger rear suspension frame but, from 1957, this was updated to a more modern pattern of rear swinging-arm with twin suspension units and the ignition points were positioned in a 'distributor' type device on the crankcase behind the cylinder.
This delightful Tiger Cub is presented in red over silver with very good chromework and, we are informed, runs beautifully. This example is registered with the Tiger Cub Register and is accompanied by the appropriate dating certificate for both engine and chassis. The engine was recently fully rebuilt and the odometer replaced with a new unit. This bike is supplied with some bills alongside the UK V5 registration document. A lovely example of the very popular T20 ready to enjoy.Guide Price £3,000 - £5,000
