Description

This 1988 FJ62 Land Cruiser is the result of an expert restoration completed in 2011 by the well-known specialist TLC of Van Nuys, California. Every aspect of the vehicle was addressed, which is documented in the accompanying 12 pages of restoration receipts totaling over $94,000. During this process, the engine was upgraded to a 5.3-liter General Motors V-8 mated to a heavy-duty four-speed automatic transmission. Meanwhile, the suspension was rebuilt using Old Man Emu components, the interior refurbished with new carpets and refoamed seats, the trim was replaced or refinished, and the body was meticulously stripped down and repainted white – the original shade from the factory.

Although the build was completed a decade ago, this Land Cruiser has been garage kept, driven minimally and remains in excellent condition, with a sharp, modern aesthetic matched by dependable performance. The current owner has only driven the vehicle on occasional weekend outings, and it has not yet been exposed to any off-roading.

This FJ62 is offered with restoration records and a recent CARFAX Vehicle History Report. Restored by the renowned TLC, lauded by Four Wheeler magazine for “flawlessly restoring the cleanest FJ Land Cruisers in existence,” this fabulous example is ready for adventure, assured to provide years of thrilling driving and gratification.
