The 6th generation of the Toyota Crown, the MS11 series, debuted in 1979. At that time, the Crown was already established as a luxury car with a loyal customer base. For the 6th generation, Toyota emphasised the straight body line, which led to the nickname “Onikura”.

This generation Crown also adopted new accessories to symbolise high-tech Japan, such as a cruise computer, which displays fuel consumption and average vehicle speed, a micro-computer controlled air conditioning system, and a power seat. A crystal digital clock and a cassette stereo deck are built into the centre console.

This particular model is the 4-door hardtop Royal Saloon, the top of the range Crown. The engine is a 5M-EU type 2.8L in-line 6-cylinder engine with a maximum output of 145 horsepower. The odometer displays 70,909km.

The exterior is dark blue and in good condition. The interior is beige. The car no longer runs after spending many years stored indoors but it retains value as a rare individual with genuine components, such as the wood effect steering wheel.
