Description
The performance car of its age, the 930 – produced continuously from 1975 to 1989 – is considered by many to be one of the most celebrated Porsche models ever built. Throughout production, the 930 was constantly refined, receiving updates that improved driveability. Most Porsche enthusiasts would agree that at the time this car was produced, in January 1988, the 930 had reached its highest level of refinement yet.
This pampered, low-mileage example is finished in a highly attractive paint-to-sample Garnet Red, complemented by an elegant Champagne interior that features factory leather-trimmed sport seats. The current owner’s philosophy is that a car should run as well as, if not better than, it looks, and in 2014, he commissioned a comprehensive and documented mechanical refurbishment that included removing and resealing the original 3.3-liter engine and refurbishing the turbo. Updated air-conditioning components were installed at the same time, as was a Fabspeed exhaust to boost performance. These are the only significant non-factory modifications made to this 930; many of the original parts that were removed were retained and accompany the car. This Porsche has been driven just 1,000 miles since this refurbishment was completed.
With less than 32,000 miles, this 930 possesses all the desirable attributes of an unrestored original car, but allows the driver to travel in confidence with the knowledge that it has been meticulously maintained and properly sorted.
