Description
This beautiful, well-preserved Porsche 930 has enjoyed a pampered and relatively quiet existence through three owners. Originally purchased in Colorado, it is largely unrestored, with the only apparent exception being an aftermarket stereo. Its buttery-smooth, eye-catching Cashmere Beige paint and Cork full-leather interior are as period-perfect as they are ultra-rare.
Although he drove it infrequently, the current owner relished Porsche Club outings along scenic Colorado mountain roads where the thrill of the turbocharger could be fully enjoyed. In more recent years, the 930 was sent to Connecticut where it was appraised and displayed by Richard Sloan. It was through Sloan that comedian Jerry Seinfeld borrowed the car and had it shipped to California for use in his web series, Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. The episode, co-starring Garry Shandling, was one of Mr. Shandling’s last filmed appearances. Friends for decades, the pair visited The Comedy Store on the Sunset Strip in this 930 and reminisced about their early days in comedy. A behind-the-scenes article about that episode appeared in the Porsche Club of America’s January 2016 edition of Panorama magazine.
On the market after 13 years of prideful ownership, and with under 36,000 miles when catalogued, this highly collectible Porsche 930 is ready for whatever comes its way, be it an urban coffee run or an exhilarating mountain drive.
