The 304 is in fact a lengthened and modernized variant of the 204. It is launched in 1969, at the same time as the Renault 12, its main French competitor. The front end was inspired by the 504, which was very new at the time. At the rear, the luggage compartment, with a capacity of 326 dm3, is larger than that of the 204. Equipped with the XL3 1 288 cm³ 65 hp DIN engine, the 304 reaches 150 km/h.
Our Peugeot 304 Cabriolet will deserve some care before taking the road. Indeed, the bodywork is to be taken back (important corrosion) the interior is to be refreshed and its mechanics to be revised.
