Description
The S15 Silvia debuted in 1999 from Nissan as the last Silvia. The S15 has a smaller body than its predecessor, the S14, which enabled it to run more like the S13. The headlights with hanging eyes give the car a sporty look and along with the compact yet powerful body shape were popular features among car enthusiasts, particularly with the younger crowd.
The main lineup includes the Spec S, which comes equipped with a 2.0-litre in-line 4-cylinder NA engine, and the Spec R, which comes equipped with a 2.0-litre in-line 4-cylinder turbo engine. The S15 Silvia, which shows a complete system of domestic front engine rear wheel drive sports, is still very popular, particularly in the drift scene. However due to exhaust emissions regulations, the production period was limited to three and a half years, meaning only 30,000 units were produced.
Even among the already rare S15 Silvia, the S15 Silvia Varietta is rarer still. It debuted in 2000 as Japan’s first fully convertible electric metal roof car, with a production volume of only 1120 units.
The transmission is a 4-speed AT. The engine is equipped with the same "SR20DE" as the "Spec S" and produces a maximum output of 160 horsepower. The exterior bodypaint is silver, with white 326 POWER wheels. The interior is in good original condition.
The Varietta provides a refreshing driving experience with the lightness of a convertible sports car. Such a comfortable drive is unusual among Silvia’s. The odometer displays 299,338km.
