Peter Sellers was one of Britain’s best loved entertainers, and even now, over 25 years after his death, he is widely regarded as the greatest comedic actor ever to have lived.
If his radio performances in the Goon Show, and films such as ‘the Ladykillers’ in the 1950s made him a star, his film career from the early 1960s onwards made him a megastar. The success of the ‘Pink Panther’ series, along with his seminal performance in ‘Stanley Kubrick’s ‘Dr Strangelove’ and the host of other films he starred in brought him all of the trappings of success one would imagine – Houses, beautiful women and fast cars……. with Peter, there were always cars.
