Description

Harry Alexander Classic Cars is pleased to offer our newest Range Rover Classic for sale.

Looking this good and with just 89,800km (55,800 miles), we don’t expect this 3.9 EFI V8 Two Door in Clearwater Blue with A/C to be available for long…

The paintwork on this vehicle is outstanding and potential buyers should take time to look through the more than 40 photos to see just how well the vehicle presents.

In our humble opinion, Clearwater Blue or Land Rover Colour Code (LRC) 421 to be precise, is one of the most elegant colours to adorn Range Rover Classics of the early 90’s.

Available for Model Year 1990 and 1991 only, Clearwater Blue was a Micatallic paint, above and beyond the finish visible on metallic paint, the mica particles produce a wonderful depth and variation of colour. Sometimes referred to as a pearlescent effect, it certainly stands out.

We have invested the time and money required to produce an outstanding paint job that this Range Rover Classic thoroughly deserves. US clients should note that a paint job of this quality would surely cost $20,000 at least.

The body and chassis are also in excellent condition and the 40+ photos speak for themselves.

Cosmetically, it also has new exterior lights, indicators/turn signals and all bumpers and end caps have been refurbished.

Mechanically, the car, (which has a current ITV), has had a service including a change of oil, fluids and filters and spark plugs.

It has also benefitted from the following parts being replaced:

- new valves
- new headgasket
- new fuel pump
- new alternator
- new exhaust
- new tyres (period correct as per the original Spanish COC when sold new)

It drives very well with plenty of power from the 3.9 EFI V8. Suspension is firm and gear changes are smooth.

In terms of the ITV, which is in date, it is worth noting that Spain, has very strict regulations and it is a fairly high threshold to pass mechanically and indeed, in terms of chassis and body condition.

For example, close attention is paid to the following:

- Independent wheel articulation and travel up and down is important for 4x4 ITVs which have their own class for assessment.
- Lights, indicators, everything needs to work and be in good order or it will not pass.
- Emissions must be at correct levels.
- Brakes and suspension must pass the required standard of performance.
- And finally, no oil or fluid leaks or else the vehicle will fail.

The interior is in very good condition. The dash in particular is excellent. There are minor signs of wear to be expected but overall the seats are in very very good condition for a 31 year old Range Rover. There is one very small cigarette burn on the passenger seat for example. Not something that detracts from the overall quality of the vehicle in any way and especially not to a passionate collector of these unique and now increasingly rare two door Range Rovers.

In conclusion, this is a fantastic Range Rover Classic Two Door in a very sought after colour with the 3.9 EFI V8. With less than 100,000km, it is a rare beast indeed.
