The Model:
The natural successor to the original Land Rover series, the Defender was released as the Land Rover Ninety in 1983. While styling was familiar the Defender was given coil springs and a full-time four-wheel drive system, new to the line. The power plants were largely carryovers overs from the original series, offering both a diesel and gas powertrain.

After disposing of the original frame a galvanized steel Richards Chassis was chosen to serve as the foundation for the new build.
