Description
To commemorate Lamborghini’s 25th anniversary in 1988, the company set out to build a very special Countach, which was unveiled at the 1988 Italian Grand Prix at Monza. The Countach 25th Anniversary Edition benefited from more than two decades of engine and chassis development, and added countless modifications and improvements to refine driver comfort and enhance the Lamborghini flagship’s already incomparable style.
Ordered new by Donald L. Weber from the Lamborghini agency in Beverly Hills, California, it was specified in Siviglia Red (Seville Red) with black leather interior and red carpets, and optioned with the Alpine sound system and rear wing. While used sparingly – the Countach showed just 2,644 miles at the time of cataloguing – it has nonetheless been maintained and was most recently serviced in 2016 by Ferrari of Newport Beach. Work included the replacement of fuel-delivery hoses and both fuel-pressure regulators and accumulators. Showing impressive levels of preservation and originality, the Countach presents incredibly well for a 32-year-old car.
Included with the sale is a tool kit and extensive documentation, including correspondence with the factory in Bologna, Italy, original manuals in their folio, and service records. This is a rare opportunity to possess a low-mileage, single-owner Countach 25th Anniversary Edition. A stunning example of the fastest and most refined Countach built by Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A., this is one not to be missed.
