Description
"The Mk. II Saloon sums up the Jaguar ethos in one simple design; timeless lines, luxurious interior leather seating, burr walnut dash and a superb 2.4 litre power plant underneath that most elegant of bonnets finished off with the classic leaping cat. The fine road manners proved useful both on the track and off it with many podium finishes during the 60s and indeed right up to the present day. Indeed a popular choice at the Goodwood Revival.
A quick look over HDW 794E will assert that some care has been taken over this example. The bodywork has been stripped and repainted in the Opalescent Blue colour you see today. The manual gearbox (with overdrive) and engine have been the subject of a mechanical overhaul costing over £3,500. Additionally, new discs, pads and other comestibles have been attended to. Supplied with an MoT test certificate valid until April, 2020, this completely usable Jaguar, both in competition and at any other social event, will certainly steal the day.
