THIS CAR
The GT350 is the most track-ready Mustang ever – a world-class sports car that is the by-product of a world-class development team. This car being offered was used by that team to make this machine what it is: the next chapter in the legend.
Its engine is a clean-sheet design unique to the Shelby cars. The engine is Ford’s first use of the race-derived flat-plane crank, and its 8,250 rpm redline is the highest of any Ford in history. At 526 hp, its V-8 is the most powerful naturally aspirated engine ever created by Ford. Its extremely wide torque curve puts 90% of its peak torque on hand between 3,450 rpm and 7,000 rpm.
This pre-production example is equipped with the optional Track Package with over-the-top stripes and has been donated to benefit the George W. Bush Institute’s Military Service Initiative.
The Bush Institute’s Military Service Initiative honors the service and sacrifice of post-9/11 veterans and military families by bridging the civilian-military divide and fostering a successful transition and reintegration from military service to civilian life. Through research, policy development, programs, and presidential recognition, the initiative informs, influences, and unites communities, nonprofit organizations, businesses, academia, and philanthropy to maximize the health and well-being of post-9/11 veterans and military families.
