Description
"The Fiat 500 was produced by the Italian car makers between 1957 and 1975 with limited production of the Fiat 500K estate continuing until 1977. It was designed by Dante Giacosa and, despite its diminutive size, the 500 proved to be an enormously practical and popular vehicle throughout Europe capturing the hearts and minds of the public. Launched as the Nuova (new) 500, it was marketed as a cheap and practical town car. Measuring only three metres long and originally powered by a tiny 479cc two-cylinder, air-cooled engine, the 500 redefined the term 'small car' and is considered one of the first city cars.
This delightful Fiat 500 was imported into the UK by the vendor in 2015 shortly after having been subject to a full restoration in Sicily; it presents in excellent order. We are advised she starts 'on the button' and drives well. Clearly the restorer was familiar with these great cars and the work appears to have been carried out to a good standard borne out by many years of enjoyable motoring since its return to the UK. Supplied with the original Italian paperwork, a recent MoT test certificate and the UK V5 registration document, this is a fun car for a modest outlay with the added bonus of taking little space in a garage!
