Bought new by the current owner's mother (former manager of a large French car company) in 1972, she used it, as many did at the time, to go to town and on holiday; the mileage shown is 54297, which the seller says is original but cannot be guaranteed. Purchased in white with a black skai interior, the owner wished to repaint it in red.
Today, the car has been immobilised for a few years and deserves a good cleaning. Despite the years, the engine is still running and we were able to do a short test drive where we noticed that the gearbox and clutch were working well; a major engine rebuild is needed to be able to drive the car again without any problems even if this engine is known to be particularly reliable.
Inside, the Fiat 500 is in average condition but without any tears or stains, the odometer is in good condition and all the electrics work (headlights, windscreen wipers).
The base of the Fiat 500 looks sound but if surface corrosion has attacked the paintwork for many years, the interior of the boot and engine bay is not pierced.
Treat yourself to a little piece of the Dolce Vita to be restored little by little from an already healthy base and enjoy the charm of the most famous yoghurt pot in the World.
