In 1989, Ferrari introduced the Mondial T in Cabriolet and Coupé form to conclude the Mondial production run, which had undergone a handful of redesigns and revisions since it was launched in 1980. The Mondial T kept alive Ferrari’s platform that featured a mid-mounted V-8 engine with room for four passengers. The model was tweaked with a more muscular design while engine capacity was increased to 3.4 litres, rated at 300 horsepower when new. Later versions of the Mondial are heralded as the pick of the range, and according to marque expert Marcel Massini, Ferrari made 840 examples of the Mondial T Coupé between 1989 and 1993.

This example, finished in Nero over a Crema leather interior, features a gated five-speed gated manual gearbox that typifies the greatest qualities of Ferrari engineering. Arriving in the Petitjean Collection from prior ownership in Belgium in 2007, this car’s odometer reads 55,644 km at the time of cataloguing. Buyers should note that this Mondial T Coupé has been on static display for some years and will require mechanical recommissioning work before returning to use on the road.
