Description
“The Japanese Ferrari”
Gainer (formerly Jim Gainer), boasts a long history as a prestigious privateer racing team, and developed this 360 in collaboration with the famous constructor "DOME". In 2008, Gainer transplanted the body of the F430, the latest model at the time, and entered the Super GT GT300. The difference in the body and base car, the car was listed as "F430", but on the registration it was listed as "360", may have caused some fans to suspect a mistake in the entry list. The car was developed as a JAF GT car and powered by a Toda Racing 3.5-litre V8 'F131B' engine. It’s also right hand drive, which is very rare for a Ferrari racing car.
While not a race winner, it was a good performer. The torn bucket seats are a clear indication of its racing history as it had to go through several mid-race driver changes. The number 11 it still carries is a traditional Gainer number. Nowadays it would not be possible to make "Japanese Ferrari authorized by Ferrari". The existence of this one of a kind car makes it legendary, and it is one of the most important cars in the history of the famous team.
