It featured the transverse V8 from the 308, albeit now in 3.2 form, with four valves per cylinder, a five-speed gearbox and 275 bhp on tap. It was regarded as particularly handsome and became instantly popular, with Ferrari going on to produce 7,400 variants worldwide during the production run which finished late in 1989. Now regarded as a true design classic, this ultimate sports car of the day reached 0-60 in 5.5 seconds and went on to a top speed of 166mph.</p><p>This, left-hand drive, 328 GTB was sold new in France through the official Ferrari importer, Charles Pozzi, and the odometer is now showing only 20,000 km.
