The Model - When the folks at Dodge's Performance Vehicle Operations Group went to work on the Ram 1500 pickups they were looking to produce an awesome machine. The results are a 5150-pound regular cab, short bed pickup truck that behaved more like a Trans-Am race car. Starting with the 8.3 Liter V10 that achieved 500 hp through a few tricks with the motor mounts plus the intake engine cooling systems. The SRT-10 pickup isn't for the casual driver, you have to know how to handle this machine and you better know how to use a clutch as the Tremec T56 six-speed transmission is a must for this fire-breathing Ram. Acceleration you ask? How about going from 0-to-60 in under 5-seconds. A number of suspension modifications were included such as using Bilstein shock absorbers with performance tuned springs, plus an additional 5th shock on the rear axle to prevent wheel hop when lighting up the rear tires. The tuned suspension was lowered one-inch up front, 2.5 to the rear, and a heavy duty rack and pinion steering coupled with independent front suspension allowed this beast to be aimed and kept on the yellow brick road.

The Car - Finished in Patriot Blue Pearl with dual White racing stripes, this Ram SRT-10 pickup delivers an impressive visual impact. With the unique hood that was designed to cover the mighty V10, the power bulge is adorned with the Viper logos so there is no mistaking this for a farm-truck. A tonneau cover for the rear bed is finished off with a spoiler package the reduces lift and drag issues. Wicked looking alloy 10-spoke wheels are employed with low-profile radial tires for road-gripping confidence and plenty of open air to keep the disc brake rotors always cool. As if the mechanics of this truck are not entertaining enough, there is a complete sound system that offers AM-FM reception and a 6-disc CD player mounted in the center. The plush gray leather seats are soft and supple having been well cared for since new. The factory easy-to-read white-faced gauges are in perfect working order as are the interior climate controls with heating, defrosting and most important, air-conditioning. No questions what type of truck the lucky passenger is in with the SRT-10 logos on the passenger side of the dashboard. Stored indoors its entire life, this truck has been treated with kid-gloves from day-one.
