Description

"1977 BMW 733i E23
Serial number 5761404
First generation of the limousine
Second hand
Regular maintenance
French title

In Europe, the luxury sedan market, and by extension, the limousine market, is extremely competitive and has been since the early days of automotive history. If today we remember Rolls Royce which has excelled in this field for more than 100 years, the Germans are not left behind with Mercedes-Benz which is the historical opponent of the jewel in the crown.
Indeed, the brand with the star reigns as the undisputed master of the German market with its flagship: the S-Class.
However, in the early 1970s, BMW began the renewal of the brand, goodbye to sedans with very marked 1960s looks, and hello to the new design of the brand introduced by Paul Bracq which will give birth to icons: 5 Series E12, 3 Series E21, 6 Series E24 ...
If the S-Class finally found a real competitor, the first 7 Series did not shake the Mercedes-Benz which continued to sell twice as much as its counterpart.
Offered only with inline 6-cylinder engines, the E23 limousine offers a little touch of sportiness suggested by a shark-nose front end, a double exhaust outlet and even a rear spoiler which will be offered as early as 1982.
Today, if the 7 Series has strongly resembled (stylistically and mechanically) the S-Class, it remains a must-have for all the great ones of this world who want comfort, sportiness, luxury and technology.
First registered in October 1977, our model is one of the very first 7 Series produced. Equipped with its 3.3L engine (code M30B32I) and its 3-speed automatic gearbox, it is the perfect recipe for cruising with its 200 horsepower under the right pedal.
Second hand, it belonged to a textile store manager who travelled all over France on it between his companies without forgetting to take care of his steed which always took him along without ever breaking down.
Enjoy a real experience at a very low price and slip into the skin of a 1970s boss, double-breasted suit and cigars are in order!"
