Description
"1974 Autobianchi A112 Abarth
Serial number: 320285
Second hand
Very sought after version of the A112
Second series of the production
Autobianchi is an Italian small car manufacturer, created following a consensus between Pirelli (tire supplier), Fiat (mechanical parts supplier) and Edoardo Bianchi (in charge of the bodywork). Edoardo Bianchi was not new to the business, since in 1885 he founded a company specialized in the production of two-wheelers, F.I.V. Bianchi. The agreement was signed in 1955 and in 1957 the first Bianchina model left the factory. Among the other models produced, the Autobianchi A112 appeared in 1969 and was produced until 1986. At the same time, Abarth, also a member of the Fiat Group, was working on all fronts to produce sportier versions of existing cars. The A112 was no exception and was prepared by Abarth between 1971 and 1985. While the ""basic"" A112s were powered by 903 cc 4-cylinder engines with 42 to 47 horsepower, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd series Abarth versions were powered by 982 cc 4-cylinder engines with 58 horsepower. The 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th series are equipped with 1050 cc engines with 70 horsepower. The Abarth versions are therefore distinguished by their engine power but also by some exterior elements such as the side skirts and wheel arches painted in matt black, a different hood and the available paints.
The model presented here dates from 1974. It is a second series with the 4 cylinder 982 cc of 58 hp. It is a second hand in good overall condition."
