Description
"Mention Alfa Romeos from the 1960s and 1970s and what usually springs to mind is the marque’s 105 Series Coupé, designed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of Bertone, considered to be one of his greatest designs. Not only as one of the best looking and handling classic saloon cars of the period, but the advanced specification, with its five-speed gearbox, all-round disc brakes, independent suspension, and powerful twin-cam engine, still has the capability to embarrass many of its modern counterparts.
This lovely little GT Junior with the 1.3 engine is presented in lovely red coachwork with black trim and looks every bit the iconic Alfa. Having resided, we are told, in a collection in Milan for much of its life, this example was imported by an enthusiast owner in 2016. An Alfa Romeo Club Member, he kept this car in its restored state and enjoyed it; however, due to his advancing years (well into his 90’s when he finally gave the car up) he subsequently sold it to our vendor who has the car as part of his modest collection. We are informed that this well cared for example drives as good as it looks, offered with a recent service and new MoT certificate this is a bit of a favourite amongst the Historics team - viewing is certainly recommended."
