Présentée en 1955, la première génération de Giulietta Sprint est l'œuvre de Felice Boano qui signe un design très inspiré et d'une grande pureté. Cette Giulietta, construite chez Bertone, représente l'archétype de la berlinette de sport italienne des années 50 et 60 et a véritablement propulsé la marque vers son renouveau d'après-guerre. Ce modèle marquera l'avènement d'une nouvelle ère chez Afla Romeo caractérisée par une griffe unique qui en fait une voiture ancienne d'exception. La Giulietta Sprint est considérée aujourd'hui, compte tenu de sa rareté et de son histoire, comme un modèle incontournable de la marque italienne et fait partie des plus beaux coupés milanais jamais produits. Très vite dans les années 60 à travers le monde, cette Alfa fut utilisée et modifiée à des fins de compétitions et cela avec grand succès.

La charmante Alfa Romeo Sprint 1300 présentée ici fut mise en circulation en septembre 1962. D’après son dossier , celle-ci aurait été vendue en Finlande et transformée en voiture de course par un mécanicien dans les années 90 pour courir localement. En 2002, monsieur W s’en porte acquéreur et participe à des courses historiques dans toute l’Europe : ainsi la petite Alfa courra à Hockenheim, Spa, au Nurburgring puis au Danemark en finissant souvent sur les podiums ! En 2008 la voiture est revendue en Belgique puis un Français en fait l’acquisition pour courir aussi en historique. Le collectionneur actuel la possède depuis 2017 et participera au « Sixties Endurance by Peter Auto » et terminera première à l’indice de performance au circuit Paul Ricard et à Monza. Aujourd’hui la Giuletta Sprint possède un PTH valide jusqu’en 2030 et son passeport à trois volets FFSA. Son moteur 1300 N° AR00102*01858 développe une puissance estimée de 135 ch grâce à une préparation et un réglage en finesse. La culasse est retravaillée, la pipe d’admission, les carbus et l’échappement sont de type Veloce et l’ensemble vilebrequin et bielles sont équilibrés. Le châssis est remarquable aussi avec deux hauteurs de caisse possible selon les ressorts installés. Aujourd’hui cette voiture est éligible dans les plus belles courses et notamment au Tour Auto où ses performances seraient tout à fait élogieuses face aux plus grosses cylindrées. Une chance à saisir pour l’amateur de sport automobile historique !

Introduced in 1955, the first generation Giulietta Sprint was the work of Felice Boano, whose design was highly pure and inspired. This Giulietta, built by Bertone, represents the archetype of the Italian sports sedan of the 1950s and 60s and truly propelled the brand towards its post-war revival. This model launched the beginning of a new era for Alfa Romeo, characterized by a unique signature that makes it an exceptional classic car. The Giulietta Sprint is considered today, due to its rarity and history, as a must-have model of the Italian brand and is one of the most beautiful Milanese coupés ever produced. Very soon in the 60's this Alfa was used and modified for racing purposes all over the world with great success.
The lovely Alfa Romeo Sprint 1300 shown here was put on the road in September 1962. According to the history observed on this Alfa, it would have been sold in Finland and transformed into a race car by a mechanic in the 90's to race locally. In 2002, Mr. W bought it and participated in historic races all over Europe: the little Alfa raced at Hockenheim, Spa, the Nurburgring and in Denmark, often finishing on the podium! In 2008 the car is sold in Belgium before a Frenchman buys it to compete in historic races. The current collector owns it since 2017 and will participate in the "Sixties Endurance by Peter Auto", recently finishing first in the performance index at Paul Ricard and Monza. Today the Giulietta Sprint has a HTP valid until 2030 and its FFSA three-part passport. Its 1300 cc engine N° AR00102*01858 develops an estimated power of 135 hp thanks to a preparation and a fine tuning. The cylinder head is reworked, the intake pipe, the carburetors and the exhaust are of Veloce type and the crankshaft and connecting rods are balanced. The chassis is also remarkable with two possible body heights depending on the springs installed and equipped with light Magnesium wheels. Today this car is eligible for the most beautiful races and in particular for the Tour Auto where its performance would be quite remarkable against bigger cars. A chance to seize for a historic motorsport lover!
