This Abarth 500 was registered in 2008, its first year of production, number 1/12 of the special series set up for the Italian FIAT Register. It has covered only 2,250 km.
White with the red stickers and badge of the Italian FIAT Register, and red leather interior in excellent condition, in line with the very few kilometres. There is only a slight difference in tone between the white of the bodywork and the white of the plastic parts, due to the different aging of the paint on different materials, a production defect typical of the Abarth 500 at the start of the series.
Mechanics in perfect working order, and exceptionally low mileage, it is fitted with the Essesse kit including self-ventilating front disc brakes with high-performance pads, drilled rear discs, Abarth springs kit and power increase kit. The kit was installed by Abarth in Corso Marche, Turin, and the modifications are shown in the logbook. No valid MOT.
Today, the Abarth 500 is one of the few small sports cars considered “instant classics”. One of only 12 examples to have been fitted out for the Italian FIAT Register, with a specific plate, which could only be purchased at the time by those registered with the official Register. An unmissable opportunity for all collectors of the Scorpion make.
