The WFM (Warszawska Fabryka Motocykli) Company, founded in Warsaw in 1951, started production of its first model the following year, a 125cc motorbike called the M04, which was a great success with a production of about 27,000 units. In the following years, the M04 was evolved and, in the 1950s, they did not remain insensitive to the scooter phenomenon. In 1955, they launched the model OSA (Vespa in Polish) but, because of an ‘ideological’ problem by the authorities, who did not see eye to eye this kind of vehicle, the start of production was delayed until 1959. The engine was a 150 cc single-cylinder 2-stroke engine combined with a truly original frame. A sought-after piece of Polish scooter production. Restored and presumably never used since. A general mechanical check is recommended before use.
