Charles Terrot and Wilhelm Stücklen founded their engineering company in 1862 in Cannstatt, Germany. After a few years Terrot moved production to Dijon, France. In 1902, the first model left the transalpine factory. Right from the start, Terrot motorbikes gained a reputation for reliability and performance. Until 1926, all models were equipped with engines from other manufacturers, after which they decided to produce their own and became fully-fledged manufacturers. The M model has a vertical, single-cylinder, 4-stroke engine with side valves, chain drive and parallelogram front suspension. Restored and presumably never used since. A general mechanical check is recommended before use.
