Simson, a very famous German company founded in 1854 by brothers Lob and Moses Simson. It began its activity producing weapons and soon became the market leader and, in the various activities of production diversification, it was oriented towards the two- and four-wheel market and, in these two sectors, it distinguished itself with cutting-edge and high-performance products. For the two-wheel sector, after an initial production start-up with medium-sized motorbikes powered by four-stroke engines, in 1964, they debuted in the small displacement sector with the SR 4 - 1 model with a 50 cc 2-stroke engine accredited with a maximum power of 2 HP. This was followed the next season by the SR4 -2 Star model with the “superquadro" engine and other improvements that increased the power to 3.4 HP. Truly a great opportunity to acquire an interesting piece of this glorious German brand name. Restored and presumably never used since. A general mechanical check is recommended before use.
