The Piatty was designed by the Italian engineer Vincenzo Piatti in 1952 and produced from 1955-1957 in Belgium by historical coachbuilder D'Iterene. It was produced until economic difficulties stopped production, in 1957. Later, it was also produced under licence in England by Cyclemaster. It had a very original look, a large fairing and a 125 cc 2-stroke light alloy engine with horizontal cylinder and a self-supporting monocoque body. About 800 units were produced in Belgium and around 16,000 in England. Today, these scooters are quite rare and sought after by collectors all over the world. Restored and presumably never used since. A general mechanical check is recommended before use.
