In 1951, the famous motorbike manufacturer NSU signed a licence agreement with Innocenti to produce the Lambretta LD in their Neckarlsulm factory in Germany. The agreement was for five years, but the Germans soon realised that from a commercial and prestige point of view it was much better to develop their own product than to build one under licence they therefore designed a scooter from their own point of view. The model was called ‘Prima’ and was presented at the Brussels International Motorcycle Show in 1956, with interesting equipment: electric starter, 150cc two-stroke engine credited with a maximum power of 6.2 hp and three-speed gearbox. Restored and presumably never used since. A general mechanical check is recommended before use.
