MotoBi of Pesaro was started up following Giuseppe Benelli's departure from the company of which he was one of the founders and, after using the company name Brevetti Ing. Giuseppe Benelli, in 1954, the change was made to MotoBi to avoid commercial confusion due to similarities between the company names. MotoBi distinguished itself both from a commercial point of view, with the launch of robust and reliable motorbikes, and from a sporting one with the conquest of many national and international titles in several disciplines, and also with regard to scooters. At the Milan Motorcycle Show in 1959, the company presented a 16" high-wheeled scooter called Picnic with 75 cc displacement, powered by a single-cylinder 4-stroke engine housed in the frame with the combustion unit facing backwards and the three-speed gearbox with knob operation positioned on the side opposite the engine. Restored and presumably never used since. A general mechanical check is recommended before use.
