Description

"Chassis number: 4377896
750 CC
The Harley Davidson WLA is the model of the American firm manufactured according to the specificities of the army between 1926 and 1945 then from 1949 to 1952. The WLAs were not used much on the front line as they were difficult to ride in the Japanese jungle or during the winters in Europe, they were mainly used for the police and the staff. The WLAs are equipped with a 739cc 4-stroke twin-cylinder engine developing 25 hp at 4500 rpm. The gearbox is a 3-speed hand gearbox with a foot clutch. The 243 kg motorbike is braked with drum brakes.
The model offered here dates from 1943 and is in good cosmetic condition. The green and white paint is clean, and the chrome is also in good condition. The leather seat and saddlebags are neither scratched nor holed. Having already been rebuilt at 70,000 km, the engine is still running in so it will be necessary to wait a little before driving full throttle to the beautiful French countryside."
